Cocktail-program software, built behind a working bar.
Ophelia is the recipe, inventory, and pricing software that runs Slings & Arrows. We built it for our own bar; we'd be glad to set it up for yours.

What Ophelia does
Recipe costing
Every ingredient carries a wholesale cost (per bottle, per ml, per oz, whichever fits). Steps roll up into the drink's pour cost; pour cost flows into recommended-margin pricing. Update one ingredient — every dependent recipe recosts automatically.
Batch math
Mark steps as batchable and Ophelia generates proper bottle quantities for any batch size. "I need 32 servings of the house Negroni" returns a printable spec sheet with rounded measurements, single-drink yield, and per-ingredient bottle counts.
NC ABC pricing
The North Carolina mixed-beverage price book is imported and refreshed quarterly. Your spirit costs reflect what you actually pay at the warehouse, not a stale guess.
Square POS reporting
Daily sales reports pull orders, payments, employee shifts, and tips straight from Square. Back-bank cash reconciliation and tip distribution are built in.
Who it's for
Cocktail-program bars with one to five locations, where the menu is a real craft and somebody needs to know what every drink costs to pour, what's running low, and which shift sold the most Manhattans last Thursday.
If you're running a beer-and-shot bar without a cocktail program, this isn't the right tool. If you're running an enterprise restaurant group with fifty locations and a procurement team, we're too small. The sweet spot is the place where the owner still works behind the stick a few nights a week.
See it in action
Slings & Arrows publishes its full cocktail menu on Ophelia. Every recipe is structured for search engines and AI assistants — give our menu a look:
Pricing
Starts at $200/month per location. Month-to-month, no annual contract. Multi-location discounts available. White-glove onboarding included — we sit down with you, import your menu, wire your Square account, and train whoever's running the bar.
We're a small operation. We answer our own email. If you have five locations and a complicated setup, send us a note and we'll quote you honestly.
Frequently asked
What does Ophelia actually do?
Three things bartenders and owners care about: recipe costing (every ingredient's wholesale cost rolls up into the drink's pour cost), batch math (proper bottle quantities + scaling for pre-batched cocktails), and Square POS sales reporting (daily sales reports tied to shifts and tip distribution). NC ABC pricing is imported and refreshed quarterly, so your cost basis is always current.
What POS does it work with?
Square. Daily sales, payments, and employee shifts pull directly from your Square account. Other POS integrations would be a custom build.
How long does setup take?
About a week. We import your existing menu, wire your Square location, set up your initial cocktail catalog, and walk through batch math and inventory with whoever's running the bar. White-glove setup is included with the monthly subscription.
Can multiple locations share recipes?
Yes. Drinks can be scoped to a single location, marked public (visible on the consumer recipe site), or marked family (shared across every location on the account). One drink, one source of truth — no copy-pasting between sister bars.
What does it cost?
Starts at $200/month per location, month-to-month, no annual contract. Multi-location discounts available. Setup and onboarding are included.
Where does my data live?
Your own PostgreSQL database, hosted on Heroku. Images on DigitalOcean Spaces. You can request a full data export at any time — your recipe book belongs to you.
Is there a public-facing menu site?
Yes — every cocktail you mark public is automatically published with schema.org Recipe markup, mobile-friendly typography, and Google-indexable URLs. Walk-in customers find your menu when they search for cocktails in your area.
